Who can Apply for Assistance PDF Print E-mail

The MDBA Pacers provides assistance to those in need due to circumstances which beyond your control, natural disaster, or other environmental and social factors.

If you or someone you know owns or is in charge / control of a domestic animal and meet any of the following, you may be able to receive assistance from MDBA Pacers.

• You are no longer able to look after your domestic animals and need to surrender them.

• You need temporary help, foster care, pet sitting etc, to get back on your feet or put your affairs in order to provide for your domestic animals while you are finding a longer term solution.

• You have experienced either a personal or natural disaster or an event which you were unable to anticipate which has placed you in necessitous circumstances.

• You operate a not for profit animal re-homing service or rescue and you are experiencing a shortfall of accommodation or supplies.

• If you are elderly, mentally or physically disabled or recuperating from an illness and require help to be able to look after or remain with your animals.

• If you need urgent help to provide shelter or safety equipment including fencing and penning to keep your animals safe and secure due to circumstances beyond your control
